DA wrestled well today despite the losses. Excluding forfeits, we were either tied or victorious, we just couldn’t overcome the gaps in our lineups and the penalties for forfeits. A lot of quick matches tonight: two pins apiece for captain David Peirce, Matthew Hough, Nathan Blaya, and Zavi Salomon-Fernandez. Blaze Etienne-Cummings had a unique performance in winning four matches (two varsity forfeits and two JV pins) across two meets tonight. Great growth from new-to-DA wrestlers Dima Kasumov and Emmanuel Atiegha. Special accolades to some JV wrestlers with their first pins: Cole Higgins, Jian Yeo, and Harry Tran were all successful in their opening matches.
