In front of a great Friday night crowd at NMH, Deerfield took the victory over the Hoggers, 3-0.
Deerfield had the stronger offense throughout the match, but NMH used good defense to extend rallies so that Deerfield had to be smart and effective about its hitting and defense. Particular shout-outs to Zoe Galaburda ‘26 and Greta Trapp ‘25 for great defense and passing as well as setters Charlotte Coody ‘26 and Emerson Lewis ‘28 for distributing the ball effectively (including a beautiful one-handed set from Coody in the 2nd set). And it felt appropriate that match point was a strong kill in the middle from Harmoni Dobbins ‘26.
Thanks to the NMH fans for a good scene on Friday night.
Deerfield has a quick turnaround with our final home match of the regular season (and a chance to celebrate our 5 seniors) against Taft on Saturday at 3:30pm in the Barn.
