The Girls JV Volleyball Team earned a solid 3-1 victory over Stoneleigh Burnham, rallying back after a close first-set loss. Despite an early 12-point lead, Deerfield dropped the first set 23-25 but stormed back to take the next three with confidence.

Gigi Selvig served ten straight points in the opener, setting an early tone. Kingsley Carolan’s steady all-around play, including five aces and key setups, proved invaluable, while setter Selin Aksoy directed the offense with 18 assists. Katie Mountz added power with four aces, and Travis Gerst’s front and back row defense, especially on tips, kept the team solid. Clara Lipman’s strong serves, including a blistering ace, helped shift momentum, while Karen Park’s libero play shored up the back row. Senior captain Devon Coleman led the offense with eight kills.

With resilience and strong teamwork, Deerfield closed out the win, proving their readiness for the season’s challenges.
