Deerfield hosted a strong Loomis team on a beautiful Friday afternoon. The game was very back and forth and remained scoreless at the end of the first quarter. At the start of the second quarter, Julia Tamul ’25 worked the ball up to Chloe Cleaves ’26 who scored her first goal of the day. The Pelicans tied it up before the end of the half, but Cleaves added a second goal in the third quarter to put DA up 2-1. Loomis continued to fight back and eventually evened the score to 2-2, but Lilly Oliver added a tally early in the 4th quarter to put DA up 3-2. Loomis never gave up though and capitalized on a turn-over with a minute left to tie the game up and send us into OT. Fortunately, DA was energetic and poised in the OT and did a great job possessing the ball. After seven minutes of play, Cleaves and Tamul drew back-to-back corners and set up Oliver who notched the game winner with a beautiful shot from the top of the circle. Haley Abraham ’25, Loulla Rousou ’25, Eloise Hochberg ’27, Erin Dunne ’28, and Kate Doucette ’27 all played well defensively. Up next: DA travels to Westminster on Wednesday. Go Big Green!
