Deerfield traveled to KUA on Wednesday afternoon. DA was a bit slow to get off the bus in the first quarter but eventually found their groove. Lilly Oliver ’26 played great in the midfield and Erin Dunne ’28 was outstanding defensively. DA drew 11 corners to KUA’s 2 and created several scoring chances, but KUA played a great defensive game. KUA’s goalie was fantastic and their defense came up with some big plays on the goal line. The game ultimately went to overtime and DA did a great job maintaining possession and keeping it in our offensive half. After three corner chances and with 15 seconds to go in the game, DA set up a 25-yard hit and Oliver sent a great pass to Eloise Hochberg ’27 who hit a hard cross into the circle. Dunne sprinted in on the left side and buried the ball in the back of the net with 2 seconds to go to give DA the 1-0 win in dramatic fashion. Up next: DA travels to Trinity on Saturday to take on GA under the lights. Go Big Green!
