Deerfield’s team notched its strongest match of the season against Westminster, but the 5-2 score belies the extremely close match-ups at every spot. For Deerfield’s 9 players, 6 went to five games. Preyas Sinha ’24, in the number 2 spot, won his fifth game 11-9, and the number-7 Will Wichern ’27 won his fifth game in a nail-biting 16-14 score. Teddy Gonzalez ’26 and Gunnar Moore ’25 also volunteered to play second matches with Westminster’s #10 and #11. The team will head down to Wallingford to face their rival team at Choate on Wednesday.
