Girls Varsity Hockey made the long drive to Exeter on Saturday, and came away with a 4-0 win. It was a physical game, and although we got away from playing our game for stretches, we did enough to earn the victory. Gia Thompson ’26 opened the scoring, burying a nice feed from Brady Wierl ’26 (Peyton Wierl ’26 also earned an assist). Then, Ava Giroux ’26 scored on a beautiful drive to net after good work by Mia Goetzke ’24 and Izzy Cericola ’24. In the second period, Annie Dinges ’24 had a great goal off the rush (assists to Olivia Austen ’27 and Taylor Wilburn ’27) and in the third Cericola found a rebound off of a great forecheck from Goetzke and Giroux. Campbell Krotee ’25 played well in the shutout, and Giroux earned the hard hat for her consistent effort and positive attitude. Many thanks to the Corrieri and Miller families for the subs, drinks and desserts after the game! The team looks forward to another three game week, starting with Choate at home on Wednesday.
