Girls Varsity Hockey hit the road on Saturday to take on a very good Andover squad. We started quickly, with Gia Thompson ’26 getting credit for a shorthanded goal after lots of great work by Annie Dinges ’24. We doubled our lead on the power play, as Olivia Austen ’27 sent a nice pass cross-ice to Sophie Frost ’26, who buried a shot in the back of the goal. Andover got a goal back on a power play of their own late in the period to give us a 2-1 lead heading in the second period. The final two frames were fast and competitive, but Andover was able to take advantage of the opportunities we gave them, while we were a bit snake-bitten in front of the net. We’ll look to learn from this experience and grow as a team. Campbell Krotee ’25 played well in goal, and Bailey Miller ’24 was the well deserved recipient of the hard hat for her amazing attitude and strong play all over the ice. Next up is SPS at home on Wednesday.
