Deerfield Boys Hockey came out on top on Wednesday against Loomis, winning 4-2. Deerfield was able to come out quick, winning the first period. Loomis was able to get the first goal, but soon after Ryan Diffley ‘25 was able to find the back of the net with an assist from Connor Mudd ‘26. Deerfield was able to take the lead with a goal from Justin Tavares ‘25, assisted by Jakub Kohn ‘24. Despite having the lead, the boys did not let up and neither did Loomis. With a physical second period, it ended scoreless. Going into the last period Deerfield looked to extend their lead. Cam Herr ‘24 was able to get it going in the third. Loomis responded quickly with their second goal. Drew Keiver ‘25 out was able to find the back of the net with a beautiful draw won by Lance Roberts ‘25. Deerfield had a few more chances in the last minutes of the game. John Tolve ‘24 held strong in net. Looking forward to a weekend full of fast-paced hockey!
