Deerfield was on the road to KUA on Wednesday. Deerfield came out with speed, but quickly KUA dominated. The boys were unable to capitalize offensively in the first period, while KUA finished with four goals. Deerfield came out stronger in the second, scoring just over a minute in. This goal was scored by Tom Molson ‘24, assisted by Justin Tavares ‘25. KUA responded soon after, but that did not deter Deerfield. Jakub Kohn ‘24 finished a power play goal assisted by Justin Tavares with eleven minutes left in the second. Deerfield did not let up as Tom Molson was able to find the back of the net for Deerfield’s third goal, assisted by Jakub Kohn. The score at the end of the second was 5-3. KUA came out quick in the third, scoring a few minutes in. Zachary Chehade ‘24 scored Deerfield’s second power play goal, with an assist from Justin Tavares. KUA ended the period with two more goals, one being an empty net, with a final score of 8-4. Looking forward to a rematch against rivals, Choate on Saturday.
