Deerfield traveled to Hotchkiss for their second game of the weekend. Deerfield was looking to take lessons from Pomfret’s relentless play. However, Hotchkiss was able to capitalize early on in their home environment. Hotchkiss led 2-0 going into the second. Deerfield looked to push offensively, in order to get back in the game. Once again, Hotchkiss was able to find the back of the net twice during the second period. Going into the third period down 4-0, the boys looked to take advantage of shots. Seven minutes into the third, Drew Keiver ‘25 scored, assisted by Lance Roberts ‘25. Deerfield looked to use this momentum in the remaining minutes. Unfortunately, Deerfield was unable to close in on Hotchkiss. With less than a minute remaining Hotchkiss was able to score their last goal, scoring their only goal of the third period. With several calls not going our way, three out of five of Hotchkiss’ goals were scored on their power play. Elliot Lennon ‘26 held strong in net. The final score of the game was 5-1.
