The Boys JV hockey team travelled for the first time in 2024 this Friday night to nearby NMH School. In the first of a two-game hockey weekend the team was looking to get off to a good start. Today the team was playing without a couple of key team members (Alex Sotirhos and Connor Hevesy) so the lineup was shifted and there was excitement in the air on the bus trip over. The big story on the day’s 9-3 win was Jarron Crosbie getting the start in net for the Doors. This team started the season with only one goalie, Connor Hevesy, in their ranks. However, post- Christmas break Jarron appeared on the scene making this team deeper and stronger in his new role as goalie. Jarron did quite well and turned away several shots that could have made the game much closer.
The score were 3-1 after the first period, 5-1 after two periods of play. The final score stood at 9-3 having 6 total goals tallied in the final period.
The team squares off again this Saturday morning hosting Andover. This game has traditionally been a close match and the team is looking forward to the puck drop at 11:00 a.m.
