Boys Thirds Basketball traveled to Suffield Academy for the second time this season for a head-to-head 40-19 victory. Without their big man Eddie Andrews ’27, Deerfield went small in the first half but couldn’t quite protect the rim. Up only a couple points at the half, the Doors increased the defensive intensity with a full court press that held Suffield to only 5 points for the final 16 minutes. Jaylin Julmice ’27 had a huge impact, playing at his own speed as he picked apart the 2-3 defense with smart decision-making. Johnny Scagel ’25 was on fire from three, leading all scorers with 12 points. Deerfield hosts Cushing Academy at home on Wednesday, January 17th, for their only matchup of the season.
