Boy’s thirds basketball traveled across 5&10 to face the Eaglebrook JV team and returned victorious with a final score of 57-17. Despite weak shooting from the outside, Deerfield relied on its strength and size to attack the rim, scoring 43 points in the paint. Isaac Shobla ’27 had a breakout first half with 9 points in six minutes of play. Jaylin Julmice ’27 led the way for the Doors in the second half with 7 points in 7 minutes. On the defensive end, Deerfield found a lot of success with their two presses, with Victor Kibuuka ‘26 and Jack Wagner ‘26 snagging a handful of steals. Of note: Jadin Smith ’26 notched his first start of the season and had the team’s first back-cut layup of the season. The team plays at home against Avon Old Farm School on Wednesday, January 10th.
