Friday evening, the Boys thirds basketball team traveled to Eagle Hill School in Hartwick, Mass. After a lethargic start, the doors quickly fell behind 0-6, but soon found their energy, going on a 69-14 run to finish the game. Newcomer Howard Jin ‘27 had a hot hand, leading the team with 13 points on 5-5 shooting from the field. The bigs, Eddie Andrews ‘27, Jay Rich ‘27, and Hawk Okpokwasili ‘25 were huge on the offensive boards, providing multiple second chance opportunities. Deerfield once again scored most of its points off its defense, turning their opponent over 24 times. Deerfield returns home on Wednesday to face Loomis Chaffee at 3:15 in the Multipurpose Room. Let’s hope they bring the same defensive intensity!
