Deerfield Girls Hockey left campus right after classes on Friday afternoon to make the long trek down to Lawrenceville. A much needed dinner stop at the Krotee household was much appreciated; the team enjoyed a wonderful meal of salad, bread, meatballs and pasta. After a restful night in the hotel, and aiming to beat the impending snow storm, we took the ice at 9:30am and came away with a 6-1 win. Goal scorers were Brady Wierl ‘26, Keira Austen ‘26, Annie Dinges ‘24, Izzy Cericola ‘24 (the first two goals of her DA career) and Charlotte McFadzean ‘26 (also her first career goal). Campbell Krotee ‘25 played well in goal, and Wierl earned the hard hat for her effort and positive attitude. Big thanks to the Krotee, Wierl and Austen families for putting together the dinner for us, and to Lawrenceville for hosting us for lunch in their dining hall. Since St. Paul’s wasn’t able to make the trip due to snow, we’ll take on Lawrenceville again at 1:30pm.
