We made the long trip to Kent and came home victorious 3-0. The boys hopped off the bus and after an abbreviated warmup, they brough great energy into the opening minutes with lots of good passing and pressure on the Kent goalie. Our first goal came about midway through the first half when Ari Santos ’25 converted a PK earned when Jack Borg ’27 was pushed in the Kent box by their goalie. We were frustrated for the rest of the half, despite continued passing and pressure, and it ended 1-0. In the second half, going uphill on Kent’s bumpy field proved easier. In the opening minutes after halftime, Ari Santos ’25 and Kevin Gonzalez ’24 advanced the ball to Jack Borg ’27 who headed the ball to himself, touched through traffic, and finished confidently to make it 2-0. And then toward the end of the game, Cai Harrison ’25 crossed a ball from the right wing and it trickled all the way to Kevin Gonzalez ’24 on the far wing who hammered home a piercing knuckler. Another clean sheet for Joe Berman ’25 and the back line. Holding midfielder Walker Naughton ’25 played the full eighty minutes today and was critical to keeping us organized and in communication. We are looking forward to two more long rides to Berkshire and St. Paul’s this week.
