Deerfield won their home opener and improved to 2-0 on the season after a convincing 27-6 victory over Suffield. WR/RB Jameszell Lassiter scored three times, 2 receiving touchdowns (27 yds and 61 yds) and a game sealing 65 yard run in the 4th quarter. RB Malachi Costello scored for the 2nd consecutive game from 2 yards out in the 1st quarter. On defense, ILB Tommy Schwartz had 3 sacks and multiple QB pressures. The front 7 for Deerfield made it hard for Suffield to get anything going offensively in the game. Next up for Deerfield is a road game against defending New England Champs Brunswick.
