Deerfield played a talented Hotchkiss team on Saturday in Lakeville Connecticut. It took us a bit to get off the bus and play our game and we were ultimately down 1-0 at the half. However, the big green regrouped in the second half and played hard, creating numerous corner chances. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the back of the net.
Lauren Smith ‘24 was outstanding in net, coming up with multiple huge saves for the big green. Riley Harrington ‘24 was powerful offensively and Eloise Hochberg ‘27 did a great job stepping into our midfield and coming up with big plays. Kate MacKenzie ‘24 was a force on our defensive line, shutting down multiple Hotchkiss attempts to get into our defensive circle. Our bench was loud and supportive despite the cold and wet conditions. We look forward to going back to work to prepare for Milton at St. Marks School on Wednesday. Go Big Green!
