The Deerfield XC team ran their first scored meet of the year at NMH this Saturday. After a rainy 24 hours, the skies cleared just in time for racing to begin, resulting in perfect running weather. Loomis led the pack for the entire race and comfortably came in first, with St. Paul’s and DA battling it out for second place. Taylor Wilburn ’27, Skye Georgiadis ’25, and Lillian Auth ’24 presented a formidable pack as they ran through the woods, but the St. Paul’s runners held strong and were able to take second by just three points. It was a hilly, challenging race, but the runners were rewarded with beautiful views and apple cider doughnuts. We’re looking forward to racing St. Paul’s on their course next weekend!
