Deerfield dropped the 1st game of the double header against visiting Philips Andover Academy 6-2. Deerfield had a 2-1 lead going into the 6th inning but Andover scored 2 in the 6th and then 3 in the top of the 7th. Ryan McHugh drove in a run in the 3rd inning on a sacrifice fly and Landon Wayne laid down a perfect squeeze bunt in the 2nd inning to get Deerfield on the board. SP Kenny Carlisle was effective, throwing 5 2/3 innings and allowed 3 ER on 5 hits, 4 BB and 3 K’s.
