The Deerfield boys JV tennis team (1-2) continued to struggle this week, losing a tough match to a solid Andover squad 7-1. Missing several of their top players, the team travelled with only 6 players, which at least allowed everyone to play both singles and doubles (although the last doubles match ended up getting cancelled). All of the matches were played in a single set, 8-game pro set format. #1 singles player Gus Mallory ’26 scored the only point for Deerfield on the day, winning impressively 8-5.
#1 singles Mallory 8-5
#2 singles Luka Kokosadze ’25 8-8 (4-7)
#3 singles Luke Post ’25 0-8
#4 singles Gabe Yu ’23 1-8
#5 singles Thomas Unkles ’25 0-8
#6 singles Nikhil Lebaka ‘24 1-8
#1 doubles Mallory/Kokosadze cancelled
#2 doubles Post/Yu 1-8
#3 doubles Unkles/Lebaka 1-8
The boys JV tennis have two matches this week, hosting NMH on 4/26 at 3 pm and travelling to Suffield Academy on 4/29 for a 1:30 pm match.
