Deerfield dropped the first game of a double header against Dexter Southfield by a score of 6-5. Deerfield was down 4-1 at the start of the 6^th inning and scored 4 runs to take the lead 5-4. Dexter answered with 1 run in the bottom of the 6^th to tie the game at 5-5. Dexter ended up scoring the game winning run with 2 outs on a slow hit ball to 2^nd base that was not fielded cleanly. At the plate for Deerfield, DH Henry Prince was 2-3 with an RBI. SS Conor Moriarty and C Fletcher Waterman had the other 2 RBI. RF Stephen Souder was 1-3 with a double and 2 runs scored. SP Matt Keene pitched well, going 5 innings and allowed 5 hits, 3 ER and struck out 3 batters.
