Deerfield went down 7-0 after the first inning and eventually lost 14-4 on the road against Choate. Deerfield made 2 errors in the first inning that led to an explosion of runs for Choate. 1B Jake Rowan came back from injury and got his first start of the season going 1-2 with 2 RBI. SS Conor Moriarty and 2B Gavin Rigney each had 2 hits for Deerfield. RP Willem Thurber saw his first varsity action on the mound, throwing 1 pitch and getting the final out of the 6th inning.
