In the opening game of the Cushing tournament Deerfield Girls Hockey fell to a determined Millbrook squad 3-2 in overtime. We were down 1-0 heading into the final frame, but Olivia Austen ‘27 quickly tied the score with Brady Wierl ‘26 and Sophie Frost ‘26 earning the assists. We then took the lead off of a beautiful tip from Annie Dinges ‘24 on a shot from Allie Corrieri ‘25 (secondary assist to Frost) but Millbrook tied it up and then ultimately found the winner in OT. Corrieri and Dinges led the way in terms of compete level tonight, and Keira Austen ‘26 earned the hard hat. Campbell Krotee was good in goal with over 30 saves. We’ll look to rebound in the morning against Worcester Academy.
