In the final road game of the season, the Big Green came away victorious over Wilbraham & Monson, 1-0. The Big Green controlled a lot of the possession throughout the game and created several chances in the attacking third however, these opportunities just nearly missed or were saved by the Wilbraham goalkeeper. The Big Green kept fans in suspense until half through the second half when Meryl Gilbert ’27 connected a through pass to Alex Hermsdorf ’25 behind the defense and she 1v1 with the goalkeeper to put the Big Green up 1-0. This proved to be the lone goal of the game and the Big Green defense and goalkeeping collectively held strong to preserve the shutout. The Doors will host rival Choate Rosemary in the final game of the season on Saturday, 11/11 at 11am.
