Deerfield came back from a 42-28 deficit with 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter to win by a score of 49-42. The offense scored all 49 points led by QB Cole Geer who had 3 rushing touchdowns and 2 passing touchdowns. WR Max Gainey scored on a 71 yard touchdown catch and run in the 1st quarter and WR Caden True scored on a 78 yard reverse, also in the 1st quarter. The defense let up 4 receiving touchdowns but held Salisbury scoreless the final quarter and a half to help secure the win. CB Xavier Aviles and CB Will Machnik each had fumble recoveries that led to Deerfield touchdowns. With the win Deerfield finishes the season 5-2 in the Northeast Prep Football Conference. They finish the regular season at home against Choate at 1pm.
