The Deerfield JV squad had another decisive win today in our penultimate game of the season against Williston. Although we haven’t had a game for a full week now, we didn’t look rusty; we came out flying in the first quarter, putting in a quick three goals. The first two were scored from the left post by Lila King ‘24, assisted by Lila Church ‘25 and Lexi Rohan ‘25 respectively. The third was a beautifully placed lift from Emily Bruno ‘25. In the second quarter, Rohan had an unassisted goal. She then had two more in the third quarter, the first assisted by Linnea Dreslin ‘24 and the second unassisted. Church scored the third goal of the third quarter unassisted. In the final quarter, Rohan scored once more, as did Sophie Simonds ‘26. Players of note in today’s game include Alana McDonough ‘27, Linnea Knox ‘27, Esther Lee ‘25, and Alva Fink ‘25. We were impressed not only by their stellar individual performances, but also by the seamlessness of their teamwork despite having rarely played together as a unit this season. Our final game is this Saturday against Choate!
