The Doors returned to Winsor, CT for the final race of the season on a crisp, late fall day under cerulean skies. The New England prep school league came ready to race hard, and the Doors’ best effort on the day landed the varsity in 8th place and the JV in 4th. Standout performances included a top-20 finish from Gus Mallory ’26, who narrowly edged his teammate Nico Pfeifler ’25 to lead the JV squad. Also of note was Isaac Bakare’s phenomenal 16:56, his first time dipping below the 17:00 mark. The Deerfield harriers will return to the Valley to rest and recover after a long, hard season of work, and will look forward to the opportunity presented by the fall of 2024.
