We made the short trip south to Loomis Chafee and tied 0-0. Unlike our previous 0-0 tie with Taft, this match had many scoring chances which neither team could finish. Loomis was more dangerous in the opening 20 minutes with a header from a corner going just wide and several good looks right to keeper Joe Berman (’25). We took the momentum late in the first half with good chances from MacGregor Hynds (’25) and Tai Feng (’26). Our defense grew stronger as the game went on with physical marking and dispossession from Walker Naughton (’25), Finn Knight (’25), Sungmin Ahn (’26), Ari Santos (’25), and Jason Bannerman (’24). Another clean sheet for this group. Late in the game, we had game-winning opportunities from Matteo Stewart (’24) and Jack Borg (’27), but we just couldn’t find the back of the net. This was a tough and well-played game with really high energy on both sides of the ball. We were proud of the effort, the sportsmanship, and the strong team play.
