The Girls JV Basketball team went down to Easthampton today to play Williston Northampton. The game started off low-scored and tied and continued that way for most of the game until the latter half of the third quarter when we started scoring more points. Our starting five were challenged on the court as the Williston Wildcats met us with a strong 1-2-2 defense and controlled possession. However, they were no match for our girls and our team kept up our defensive efforts, scoring ten points and rebounding consistently. Harmoni Dobbins ‘26, scored her first bucket in her first JV game of the season. Top scorers were Eleanor duPont ‘26 and Nainika Lebaka ‘24 with six points each. Nainika also made an impressive number of rebounds and her strong efforts really made things move on the court. Speaking of impressive, Izzy Ramirez ‘25 threw in an exciting three pointer in the last ten seconds, ending the game at 25-13. We are definitely using the great skills learned in practice on the court. We hope to keep it up for our fourth home game of the season on Saturday when we’ll be hosting the Andover!
