We hosted Eagle Hill on Saturday, having defeated them decisively at their gym in December. The first minutes showed what kind of game we were in for with neither team able to score. Eagle Hill was first to break the stalemate and they went on to score the first six before we could get on the board at about the eight minute mark. We continued cold in the first half and went into the break down 10-12. Eagle Hill continued to thwart our best efforts and maintained the lead until finally with about 8 minutes left in the game we took our first lead at 21-20. While we were able to keep our lead for the rest of the game, the final outcome – a 38 – 31 victory – remained uncertain as Eagle Hill competed to the last whistle. Tyler Long ‘26 led our scoring with 8 points and he provided big rebounds on both sides of the floor. Our guards, Ephraim Tutu, Justin Ahn (both ‘24), Tai Feng ‘26 and Luka Kokosadze ‘25 keyed the victory with their defensive pressure. Victor Kibuuka ‘26 and Tucker Gongaware ‘26 had six points each and contributed significantly on both sides of the floor. Ishaan Myrie ‘25 gets the final shout out for his 3-pointer in the second half, breaking a multi-game scoring slump. We have a tough week coming up and we’re looking forward to the challenge!
