The Big Green were fired up for their first home game of the 2022 season. It was a picture perfect day for soccer in Deerfield!

In the opening half, the Big Green created several scoring opportunities. Harlowe Healey ‘24 nearly missed finishing a break away and the Big Green continued to create more scoring opportunities. The score remained level at half time.

In the second half, Brooks earned a free kick in the Big Green defensive third that they converted into a goal. The Big Green continued to press for the equalizing goal. Unfortunately, time wore out before there was time for the equalizing goal. The Big Green dropped their home opener 1-0 to Brooks. The squad will look to rebound quickly on the road this Saturday at Milton.
