Deerfield fell to Williston by a score of 49-41 in a back-and-forth game. Deerfield was able to jump out to a 14-0 lead after a 98 yard INT return for a TD on the opening drive by Brady Stahelski and a 23 yard run by QB Cole Geer. At the end of the first half, Geer hit Stahelski on a 45 yard TD pass to tie the game 21-21. Williston jumped out to a 35-21 lead to start the 3rd quarter but Deerfield responded with back-to-back touchdowns of their own to tie the game 35-35. Trailing 49-41 with under a minute left, Deerfield had a chance to tie the game with the ball on the Williston 19 yard line but could not convert. Along with Stahelski and Geer, WR Tristan Ward and WR Ty Curran both scored touchdowns for the Big Green. LB James Fealy played well in his first start on defense.
