After a washout on Wednesday, the girls JV tennis team took advantage of Thursday’s sunny skies and hosted NMH for an afternoon sweep. Tennis was excellent up and down the ladder: Giorgia Santore and Nainika took a rare pause from doubles in order to defeat the NMS #2 and #3 singles 8-0 and 8-2, respectively. Abigial Ng pulled out a victory after trading games to 7-7; she ultimately won 9-7. Kate MacKenzie and Jing Wang added to the singles wins with two dominant performances at the #1 and #5 spots: 8-3 and 8-2.
At doubles, Chloe Acquavella teamed up with Juliet (our floating force at both singles and doubles) and won 8-6. Kathrine Margulis and Casey Kitteredge completed the shut-out with an 8-1 victory. The team celebrated the win—and the arrival of spring—with a well-earned pizza dinner.
