Tennis (Boys): Varsity vs. Kingswood-Oxford School (4/13/22 2:00 PM)

Event Details

The team took a big step forward in a tough match with both teams fighting injuries.  On each side players stepped up and played well, taking a tough moment and turning it into a great match.  Deerfield put the pressure on early with quick victories at the second and third doubles spots to secure the first point.  Max Peh and Tom Molson teamed up for a decisive victory and the team of Blix Salz and Joe Morseman took care of business on their court despite not having much experience playing doubles at the varsity level.

The winning continued on the singles side, Tom Molson secured a strong win at the number five spot, followed by wins at six from Morsman, and two from newcomer Brick Johnson to secure the team victory with the fourth point.  Blix Salz fought off a late comeback from his opponent to win on court four, quickly followed by a decisive victory on court two from Max Peh.  Senior captain Jimmy Euland dropped his match on court one to a strong opponent.  It was a great team win in front of a solid crowd of supporters at home.
