Deerfield came out on fire against Taft and earned a 2-0 lead within the first two minutes of the contest. It was a physical, hard-fought game, and both teams offered a steady, unwavering effort throughout both halves. The Big Green offered one of their strongest and most balanced team performances of the season, connecting well all over the field. In the goal-cage, Morgan Giardina amassed 20 saves and played a critical role in the day’s win. Fellow Co-Captain Grace Honos awarded Bliss Vernon with the All-Heart Player of the Game. Bliss created key possession opportunities for Deerfield through Draw Control victories and defensive stops.
