Deerfield gained the momentum from the start with back to back goals from Lindsay Carey ‘23. The Big Green executed a balanced feeding attack, and six different Deerfield players found the back of the net, with Sophia Sotirhos ‘25 and Lindsay Carey ‘23 leading the way with two apiece. Mary O’Shea ’25, Kate Chorske ’25, Maddie Benello ’22, and senior captains Caroline Hoff ’22 and Lauren Stenger ‘22 each had a goal as well. Strong team play on the defensive end and a standout performance from both goalies, Stella Kerwin Derrick ’23 and Maria Vieira ’22, helped Deerfield to the 9-0 shutout.
