Deerfield played their 3rd extra inning game of the season and came out with a 6-4 win on the road in the first game of a league doubleheader against Exeter Academy. Deerfield had a 4-2 lead heading into the 7th inning but Exeter was able to score 2 runs to send the game to extras. In the top of the 8th inning C Billy Mrowka hit a 2 run HR to put Deerfield up 6-4 and P Ryan McHugh was able to pitch a scoreless bottom half to secure the win. Tynan Creagh was 3-4 and Sam Chutkow had 2 RBI. SP Kiernan Keller pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed just 2 ER on 6 hits and struck out 5 batters.
