Stoneleigh 3-0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-13)

The JV volleyball team traveled to Greenfield to take on Stoneleigh-Burnham. The Doors spoiled the Owls’ Senior Night, winning in three sets (25-19, 26-24, 25-13). Senior Alessia Root, new to volleyball this year, served for the first time in a game and scored an unheard of 4 consecutive aces on her first four career serves. Without any liberos, middle hitters Koko Akpan, Simi Lawal, Lily Lin, and Olivia Smit played defense in the back row and received serve. Setters Allie Kostiuk, Megan Ng, and Julia Zhao all served and set very effectively as well. Outside Hitters Alice Wu, Georgia Ball, Kingsley Carolan, and Alessia Root jumped high and hit hard in the front row and played athletic defense in the back row. The Doors play their final home game of the season this Saturday against Taft.
