St. Paul’s L 1-2 (25-11, 24-26, 11-15)

Deerfield lost to St. Paul’s on Wednesday 1-2 (25-11, 24-26, 11-15). The Doors played valiantly against a St. Paul’s team that was fighting to end its season with a home court victory. Senior Koko Akpan stepped into the libero role for the first time and played inspired defense in the back row. Deerfield middle hitters played aggressively all game: Olivia Smit ’25 finished with 12 kills and Simisola Lawal ’23 earned for another 6 kills. Allie Kostiuk ’25 also contributed three kills from her setter position, along with two aces. Deerfield looks ahead to the final match of the year this Saturday at Choate.
