Hosting a NEPSGVA Class A semi-final match, #2-seed Deerfield defeated #3-seeded BB&N by a score of 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 28-26).

It’s an incredible privilege to get to play in the semifinals and Deerfield took advantage of that opportunity from the first serve. It was a strong performance from Deerfield in all parts of the game: passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and serving. The third set saw repeated, long rallies with both teams playing great volleyball. In the end, Deerfield was able to face down multiple set points from 22-24 to win the 3rd set and the match.

It was truly a team effort; huge shout-outs to everyone on the court today: Harmoni Dobbins ‘26, Zoe Gavros ‘23, Meghan Holland ‘23, Wuyee Ke ‘26, Evelyn Kunde ‘26, Loran McGruder ‘24, Evie Mokarow ‘24, Georgia Sackrey ‘23, Cate Shanahan ‘23, Elle Stearns ‘23, Caroline Weller ‘23.

Sunday will see a rematch of last year’s title match-up, with Deerfield hosting Loomis for the Class A championship. Match time is Sunday at 2:30pm in the Barn. Go Big Green!
