Girls JV volleyball lost a close match to a strong Hotchkiss team. Deerfield fought back to even the score at 2-2 and force a fifth set after going down early 0-2. The comeback was led by excellent serving by Alice Wu ’25, Lucy Guo ’23 and Megan Ng ’23. Middle hitters Koko Akpan ’23 and Olivia Smit ’25 made a number of timely plays at the net, and outside hitter Georgia Ball ’23 had seven kills to lead Deerfield to a 25-9 win in the fourth set. The team played hard and is ready to face off against Exeter this Saturday.
