Deerfield won their 2nd game in a row and 1st on Jim Smith field by a score of 34-27 over visiting Salisbury. Cole Geer’s 5th TD pass of the game came with 25 seconds left to WR Tristan Ward to break a 27-27 tie and give Deerfield the lead for good. Ward caught 3 TDs, WR Ty Curran had 1, and TE Willem Thurber caught his 1st career TD to open the scoring in the 1st quarter. On defense SS Owen Haight had an interception in the 2nd quarter and Deerfield was able to hold Salisbury scoreless in the 4th quarter to secure the win. DE Chigozie Oge Evans continued his strong play with 2 sacks on the afternoon.
