The Girls JV Squash team took our talents to the Westminster School on Saturday, January 22nd. Each member of the team fought hard, and we came out with a 6-1 victory. #1 Zeyna Ilahi and #2 Olivia Waterfall represented us well at the top of the ladder, with each player earning a win in the first three games. Zeyna soundly beat her opponent and staved off a roaring com-back by her opponent in the second game. While Olivia’s first and third games involved a neck-and-neck competition, she earned her hard fought victories. Hunter Pulliam, playing in the #3 spot, defeated her opponent soundly in three games, while Marnie Todd and Grace Honos, playing in our #4 and #5 spots (respectively), went on to win the next two games after going 1-1 during the first two. Kaitlyn Kelly, playing #6 on the ladder, showed her grit by challenging her opponent through five games (including a seesaw game in game two). Emi Takegami (#7) and Abby Morsman (#8) represented the Class of 2025 well on the team, as they each had strong showings: Emi defeated her opponent in four games, while Abby soundly defeated her opponent in three. We look forward to hosting St. Paul’s on Saturday the 29th!
