Wearing our celebratory “100 Years of Hockey” jerseys, Deerfield Girls Hockey faced off against Taft on Saturday evening at home. Though our legs looked tired from a hard-fought battle the night before, the team worked hard all three periods and got better as the game progressed. We got goals from Lauryn Broecker ’23 (a beautiful snipe), Jackson Kinsler ’22 (assist to Sara Ito-Bagshaw ’22) and Annie Dinges, and strong goaltending from Grace Caligiuri ’22. Kelly Howe ’22 earned the hard hat for modeling smart, hard and simple hockey. Many thanks to the parents for the delicious meal after the game! We’ll get back to work on Monday in preparation for a trip to Pomfret on Wednesday afternoon.
