The Deerfield Doors played a challenging match against the Andover team on Saturday at Andover, but through perseverance and teamwork, they came away victorious, beating Andover 20-26.
The fast-paced first quarter ended with Deerfield four points ahead after some aggressive defending from the greens. Deerfield capitalised on this momentum to really pick up the pace in the second quarter, bringing the score to 8-18 to Deerfield at the halfway point. Andover played with much more aggression and drive in the third quarter, blocking Deerfield buckets and forcing the greens to defend heavily. Andover crept up the scoreboard, with the third quarter ending at 14-20 to DA. In the fourth quarter, both teams played hard, but Andover were unable to stop the progress of the Doors.
