We hosted Worcester Academy, the first of two “Varsity B” teams that we will face in succession, and it was simply our toughest game to date. Worcester played a tough 1-3-1 defense that gave us fits, reeling off a double digit lead very quickly into the first half. The first half ended at 12 – 34 as we struggled to make anything happen. We showed some grit and determination in the second half and with Worcester’s foot off the pedal were able to win the second half 18-16 for a final score of 30-53. Brady Read ‘24, returned to action in the game and inspired our play in the second half with his aggressiveness and intelligent team play. We had three players, Brady, Max Peh ‘24 and Xavier Valdez ‘25, lead us in scoring with 6 apiece. We embark on Wednesday to face another tough opponent in the Cushing Academy Penguins.
