In their third game of the season, the girls varsity soccer team hosted Westminster. The Big Green was challenged to settle into the game and find their rhythm early on. Entering the half down 0-1, the Big Green refocused their goals for the second half. In the final 25 minutes of the game, the Big Green found their attacking rhythm and created several scoring opportunities. Elsa Schuberth ’22 was taken down in the 18 yard box and ultimately earned a penalty kick. Kaelin Creagh ’24 stepped up and converted the penalty kick, recording her first career goal for the Big Green. At the final whistle, Westminster held the advantage 3-1. With an off Saturday, the Big Green traveled to Williams College to enjoy a NESCAC Women’s Soccer game vs. Trinity College. The Big Green return to Jamie Kapteyn Field on Wednesday, September 29 at 3:30pm vs. Taft.
