The Varsity Field Hockey team traveled to Pomfret on Wednesday for their second game of the season. The team had a good warm up and was excited to play in the rain and it showed from the first whistle. They improved their press from Saturday’s match-up against Berkshire, passed effectively, and successfully found the back of the net. Lauren O’Donald ‘22 and Lauren Smith ‘24 anchored us in net and Lexi Watson ’24 and Maddy Zavalick ‘22 did a terrific job in our backfield. Everyone played and contributed to a great team win! Goals were scored by Sage Piekarski ’23, Bailey Miller ’24, Caitlyn Lodge ’24, and Charlotte Iler ‘23 . We look forward to preparing for our next league match-up against Hotchkiss on Saturday.
